Zip Back Boot | Yak stain blue
A clean-lined ankle boot defined by its multicoloured YKK Excella brass-toothed zip at the back — a considered detail that reads as functional first, then quietly distinctive.
The upper is cut from yak leather finished in a deep stain blue — a hide known for its open, slightly textured grain that absorbs colour in an uneven, atmospheric way. It will wear differently from calf, developing a lived-in surface character with use rather than a high mirror polish.
Blake stitched to an all-leather double sole with leather insole, heel, and lining, this boot is built in the Andrew McDonald workshop at The Strand Arcade, Sydney. A leather toe puff and heel counter give the silhouette its structure without adding unnecessary bulk. A rubber top piece can be added to the leather sole for $60.
