Zip Back Boot | Transparent yak

The Zip Back Boot is a study in contradiction — a structured silhouette softened by transparency, and a utilitarian zip reinterpreted through a multicoloured brass-toothed YKK Excella closure at the rear.

The upper is cut from yellow transparent yak, a rare and characterful hide with a subtly translucent quality that shifts with light. It carries the natural grain and quiet depth of an untreated surface, aging gradually and honestly with wear.

Constructed using the Blake stitch method for a clean, close-to-foot profile, the boot is finished with an all-leather sole, insole, heel, and lining throughout. Each pair is made to order at Andrew McDonald's workshop in The Strand Arcade, Sydney. A rubber top piece can be added to the leather sole for an additional $60.
