A sneaker boot redrawn with a hollow wedge sole — the silhouette sits somewhere between a dress shoe and a work boot, unhurried in its proportions and quietly assured in stance.
The upper combines mustard shell cordovan and reverse chocolate shell cordovan, two distinct finishes of the same rare equine leather. Shell cordovan is dense, non-porous and develops a deep, rolling patina over years of wear rather than creasing in the way calf might. The contrast between the clean mustard and the brushed, matte reverse chocolate gives the boot its character without resorting to ornament.
Constructed with a Blake stitch sole, the boot is kept lean underfoot — no welt bulk, just a chestnut vegetable-tanned double leather sole that will flex and mould with wear. The lining, insole, toe puff, heel counter and heel are all leather. Made by hand at The Strand Arcade in Sydney, with the option to add a rubber Topy to the leather sole for $60.
