Guidi's horse leather is vegetable-tanned in Pescia, Italy, and carries a deep, matte black finish that softens and develops character with wear. The hide is notably supple from the first wearing, yet dense enough to hold its form over years of use.
The sole is hand-stitched — a sidewall construction in lactae Hevea natural rubber, the cup form providing a close, responsive contact with the ground. The rubber is repairable, extending the life of the boot considerably. Made by Flavio Alvarez at Andrew McDonald's workshop in The Strand Arcade, Sydney.
