Shell cordovan takes stain with particular depth, the colour settling unevenly into the dense equine hide in a way that reads as character rather than imperfection. With wear and occasional conditioning, the surface will burnish and shift, growing more individual over time.
Constructed using the Blake stitch method, which keeps the profile lean and the break underfoot immediate. The sole, insole, lining, and upper are all leather throughout — no synthetic layers. Made to order at Andrew McDonald's workshop at The Strand Arcade, Sydney, with the option to add a rubber top piece to the leather sole for an additional charge.
