The upper is cut from reverse cordovan stain leather, a horse leather finished on its flesh side to produce a soft, slightly napped surface with a depth of colour that shifts in different light. Like shell cordovan, it develops its own character with age and benefits from a light brushing rather than heavy conditioning.
Blake stitched to a double leather sole with leather insole, heel, and lining throughout, this boot carries no unnecessary components. Every element serves the structure. Made by hand in Sydney at The Strand Arcade, it can be finished with an optional rubber top piece on the sole for additional wear resistance.
