Made from reverse shell cordovan in olive, this is cordovan worn flesh-side out, exposing a subtly napped surface that deepens and smooths with wear. The colour sits between moss and khaki, shifting in different light. Shell cordovan is a dense, non-porous leather taken from the hindquarter of the horse; it does not crease so much as roll, and it improves considerably over years of use.
Blake stitched to a double leather sole, with a full leather insole, heel stack, and lining throughout. Blake construction keeps the profile lean and the flex natural underfoot. Made by hand at Shop 121, Level 2, The Strand Arcade in Sydney. A rubber top piece can be added to the leather sole for $60.
