Fogey Boot | pebble grain choc
The Fogey Boot is a ankle boot of quiet authority — a silhouette that owes nothing to trend and everything to proportion, structured without severity and worn-in from the first lacing.
The upper is cut from pebble grain chocolate leather, its hand-rolled surface texture lending the boot a subtle depth that flat-grain leathers rarely achieve. The finish is matte and grounded, and the grain will soften gradually with wear while holding its character across years of use.
Constructed using the Blake stitch method, the boot sits close to the foot with a slimmer profile than a welted shoe allows. The sole, insole, heel, lining and stiffeners are all leather throughout — no composites, no shortcuts — finished in the Andrew McDonald workshop above The Strand Arcade in Sydney. A rubber top piece can be added to the leather sole for $60.
