The Fogey boot is a considered, quietly authoritative shape — a boot that earns its character slowly and wears it without announcement.

The upper is cut from yak leather, stained in iron filing — a muted, mineral tone with subtle variation across the hide. Yak is a dense, tight-grained leather that resists the elements well and develops a natural patina over time, deepening and mellowing with each wear rather than fading.

Blake stitched to an all-leather double sole, with an oak bark tanned insole, heel, and lining throughout. Oak bark tanning is a slow, traditional vegetable process that produces leather of particular density and longevity — the sole will wear in gradually and hold its shape over years. Made by hand in Sydney, at The Strand Arcade, and available with an optional rubber top piece for additional sole protection.
