The Fogey Boot is a low boot that grows from one of Andrew McDonald's original named silhouettes — retaining the same quiet authority of the shoe while extending to cover the ankle with an unhurried, unembellished line.
The leather is mustang cordovan — a shell leather distinguished by a finer, slightly more textured grain than standard cordovan, giving it a different character at close range without surrendering any of the material's characteristic density or capacity for deep burnishing. In chocolate, the tone is warm and layered, settling further with wear rather than fading from it.
Made by hand in Sydney using Blake stitch construction on last 7577, the boot is finished with a leather sole. Each pair is built individually at the workshop in The Strand Arcade, where the fit and form are attended to throughout.
