The Fogey Boot takes Andrew McDonald's original low silhouette and draws it up to the ankle — the same clean lines, now with a little more presence on the foot.
Black bison is a hide apart. Its wide, open grain sits in a different register entirely from box calf or shell cordovan — coarser, more dimensional, absorbing dye unevenly across the surface in a way that gives each pair its own character before it has even been worn. It does not pretend to be refined in the conventional sense, and the Fogey's quietly confident shape does not ask it to.
Built by hand in Sydney using Blake stitch construction on last 7577, the boot sits close to the foot with a round toe and a sole profile that keeps the silhouette low and uncluttered. Available to view and try at The Strand Arcade.
