Upper and lining are cut from black mustang horse leather, a dense, close-grained hide with a subtle natural sheen. Horse leather is slower to crease than calf, holds its shape well under daily use, and develops a deep, lived-in patina over time rather than simply scuffing.
Each pair is Blake stitched to a double leather sole, with a full leather insole, heel, and lining throughout — no fillers, no shortcuts. This construction keeps the boot close to the foot and flexible from the first wear. Made to order at Andrew McDonald's workshop in The Strand Arcade, Sydney, and finished with an optional rubber top piece for additional sole protection.
