The Desert Boot is a study in restraint — an above-ankle silhouette that sits equally at ease with tailoring or worn denim, its clean lines doing the work without ornament.
Upper and lining are cut from d'Annonay Walnut Vegano calf, a vegetable-tanned leather from one of France's most respected tanneries. The walnut tone is warm and considered, and the hide will develop a quiet patina with wear, darkening at the creases and taking on character particular to the foot inside it.
Each pair is Blake stitched and soled with single leather soles in chestnut — vegetable-tanned hide from Thomas Ware & Sons, Bristol, United Kingdom. Insole, heel, lining, and stiffeners are all leather throughout. Made by hand in our workshop at The Strand Arcade, Sydney. A rubber top piece can be added to the leather sole for an additional $60.
